After beating the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-1 in their best-of-seven series on Friday night, The Red Deer Rebels are now preparing for their next opponent, The Saskatoon Blades.

This will be the second year in a row that the two teams will meet up in the WHL Eastern Conference Semifinals. Last year the series would go to all seven games with the Blades coming out on top.

The two clubs split their four games during the 2023-24 WHL Regular Season with each team winning once at home and once on the road. Red Deer won the two most recent meetings, 5-4 at the Peavey Mart Centrium on January 17 and 5-0 at SaskTel Centre on February 27 (the only time Saskatoon was shutout all season).

Game One of the series goes at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. followed by game two Sunday, April 14 at 4 p.m.

The series shifts to the Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer for game three Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17, both at 7 p.m.

Tickets for both games go on sale Saturday, April 6 starting at 10 a.m. at ticketsalberta.com and the Box Office at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
