The Red Deer Rebels are coming home after splitting their WHL round-one series at 1 game apiece with the Medicine Hat Tigers.

After a dramatic 5-4 win in second overtime on Friday night, the Red Deer Rebels and Medicine Hat Tigers went at it again for game two on Saturday.

Unfortunately, for the road team it was a much different result. The Tigers would set the tone of the game very early with a goal just 21 seconds into the first period. Two more goals for Medicine Hat in the middle frame, would put the game out of reach.

Despite outshooting the Tigers 18-3 in the third, the Rebels would get only one goal from Ollie Josephson, and the game would end with a 3-1 loss.

The good news for Red Deer is that they are now coming home for two games at The Peavey Mart Centrium. Games three and four will be Tuesday and Wednesday night, both starting at 7:00 pm.
