After splitting their games in Medicine Hat over the weekend, it was home sweet home for the Red Deer Rebels as they beat the Tigers 4-3 in overtime Tuesday night.

The Tigers would get on the board first with a goal in the opening period, but with just seconds remaining Carson Latimer would get a short handed goal for the Rebels to tie it up at 1-1.

After a Medicine hat goal, and two Red Deer goals in the second the game would be 3-2 in favour of the home team.

It looked like the Rebels were going to win but the Tiger's Andrew Basha would score with just 35 seconds left in the game.

Then over 4000 fans at The Peavey Mart Centrium got to watch as Samuel Drancak would take a pass from Jhett Larson to score the winning goal at the 6:31 mark of overtime.

Rebels goalie, Chase Wutzke would play the entire game and would stop 35 of 38 shots.

Red Deer now leads their best-of-seven series 2 games to 1.

Game four goes tonight, 7:00 pm at The Peavey Mart Centrium.
