Two separate road closures have been scheduled to start Monday, April 8th in Red Deer.

The first will be on 50th street between 42nd Avenue and 43rd Avenue.

City crews are working on water main replacement in that area. The work is expected to last until Wednesday, April 10th.

The second road closure will be on 47th Avenue between 53rd and 55th Street.

A portion of 47 Avenue between 53 Street and 55 Street will be closed to northbound traffic as construction crews replace underground infrastructure.

Detours for northbound traffic will begin Monday, April 8, and are expected to be in place until 5 p.m. on June 12, weather dependent. Southbound traffic will continue to be permitted throughout construction.

Motorists are advised to obey all signs and use extra caution while crews are present. Please find an alternate route if possible
