After losing game one on Friday night in Lacombe, The Devon Barons showed Saturday night why they are the NCHL North Division Champions.

The Barons beat the Generals Saturday, at home, to tie the best-of-seven series at one game apiece.

It looked like Lacombe was ready to win with two unanswered goals in the first period from Colin Zimmer and Jamie Johnson. But Devon would come back with two of their own to tie the game midway through the second. Tyrell Bourk would then get the go ahead goal with just 1:34 left in the middle frame to put the Generals back on top.

Unfortunately it wasn't enough as the Barons would score two goals in the third to win the game 4-3.

Once again Mackenzie Engel was in net for Lacombe for the entire game and would stop 40 of 44 shots.

The series returns to Devon on Wednesday night at 8:15 pm.

Game four will be in Lacombe at the Gary Moe Autogroup Sportsplex, on Friday, March 22nd at 8:00.
