There are two significant traffic disruptions that start Monday in Red Deer.

A portion of southbound Gaetz Avenue from 34 Street to 51 Avenue will be reduced to two lanes from April 15 to April 19, 2024.

The western-most lane of southbound Gaetz Avenue will be temporarily closed as construction work is completed.

Also, Motorists are advised of an upcoming lane closure on Taylor Drive at the 43 Street intersection.

Beginning April 15, a portion of the right northbound lane of Taylor Drive will be closed as crews work to extend the right-hand turning lane onto 43 Street. Work is expected to be completed by the end of May, subject to weather. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to find alternate routes to access the Red Deer Regional Hospital and surrounding business area.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas and obey all signs. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
