More than 65 members from law enforcement, victim services, and other support agencies came together for a two-day training program, in mitigating family violence.

The program brought in experts locally and from the surrounding area, to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to assist domestic violence victims and their families.

The training initiative was possible through the Royal LePage Lifestyles Realty Shelter Foundation.

The foundation ensures that funds raised are allocated to provide educational programs and support victims and families of domestic violence in Lacombe.

“The success of the recent two-day family violence training underscores the significance of collaborative efforts between community stakeholders and corporate partners,” a Lacombe Police Service media release said. “Together, we are not only raising awareness but also actively working towards ending the cycle of domestic violence and providing crucial support to those in need.”
