From RCMP:

Highway 2 northbound is blocked just north of Bowden due to several jack-knifed semis.

Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Highway 2A, with travellers able to resume driving northbound on Highway 2 at the Cottonwood Road overpass.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., RCMP received the first call of a semi tractor trailer unit which had jackknifed.  At least three other semi tractor trailer units have crashed at this location.

It is anticipated that this detour will remain in place until at least 10:00 a.m. this morning to allow emergency services time to clear the area.

Extremely icy road conditions are reported and believed to be the contributing factor.
