Update from Didsbury RCMP: Feb 13th. 3:00pm. 
 

Didsbury RCMP have arrested the fifth and final person sought in connection with a January 23 Kidnapping investigation.

On February 12, Tanya Dawn Hoomana (39) of Didsbury turned herself in to the custody of Didsbury RCMP.

A bail hearing was held for Hoomana on charges of Kidnapping with a firearm, Extortion with a firearm and Possession of Property obtained by crime.

She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear on March 5th, 2018 in Didsbury Provincial Court.

"I want to thank the citizens of Didsbury and Olds for all the assistance we received through the course of this investigation." Says Staff Sergeant Chad Fournier, Didsbury RCMP detachment commander. " We are confident that all of the people involved in these allegations have been identified and are not seeking any additional suspects."

Update from Didsbury RCMP: Feb 9th, 12:30pm.
 
Mitch Engler, the fourth suspect sought in connection with a January Kidnapping investigation, has been taken into custody.
 
 
Engler was arrested by investigators from Didsbury and Olds RCMP early in the morning on February 8 in Olds.
 
Engler has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear on February 12 in Didsbury Provincial Court.

From Didsbury RCMP:

RCMP have made three arrests and are seeking a fourth suspect in relation to a kidnapping investigation. 
 
On January 23rd, shortly after 6:00 pm, Didsbury RCMP were called to a complaint of a male that had been taken at gunpoint in the town of Didsbury. The victim was allegedly threatened to pay a sum of money or he would face bodily harm.
 
Didsbury RCMP with the help of Olds RCMP located the victim at a rural location west of Olds and arrested 3 suspects. A search warrant was executed on a travel trailer and 5 firearms including a sawed off shotgun were seized. 
 
Justin ANGLET, (19) of Olds, AB has been charged with Kidnapping with a Firearm, Extortion with a Firearm, Possession of stolen property, Possession of Methamphetamine, and 8 counts of failing to comply with conditions.  
 
Donald MARTIN, (39) of Olds, AB has been charged with Kidnapping with a Firearm, 5 counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm, and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm.
 
Jacob DONKIN, (19) of Olds, AB has been charged with Kidnapping with a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property, and fail to comply with conditions
 
The investigation has also led to an arrest warrant being issued warrant for 32-year-old Mitchell Lewis ENGLER of Olds on charges of Kidnapping with a Firearm, Extortion with a Firearm, Unauthorized possession of a Firearm, Uttering Threats, and Possession of stolen property. Mitchell Engler remains at large and Didsbury RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to locate him.
 
Mitchell "Mitch" Engler is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to contact the Didsbury RCMP at 403-335-3381 or your local law enforcement agency.
