A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been charged in the death of 17 month old Anthony Joseph Raine.

Joseph Crier, the boy’s father, and Tasha-Lee Mack are each charged with second-degree murder, criminal negligence causing death, assault, and failure to provide the necessaries of life when they appeared in court via videolink Monday morning.

Support is rolling in on a Go Fund Me Page and Facebook group, raising money for a funeral for Anthony Joseph Raine.

The little boy was found dead outside an Edmonton church on Friday, and family have now come forward to identify the 1 year old.

The fundraising page identifies his mother as Dalyce Raine from the Louis Bull Reserve, one of the Four Nations of Maskwacis.

An autopsy will be performed on the little boy today.

The aunt of the toddler, Brandi Raine says Anthony was the light of their lives, he was always happy and always made everyone smile.
