A 30-year-old Red Deer man is facing a number of charges after a concerned parent reported to police that their 15-year-old child had been sexually assaulted. 

On July 31st, 2020 police executed a search warrant and were able to arrest and charge Brandon Conlin of Red Deer with a number of offences, including child luring, sexual assault, sexual interference, and possession of child pornography. 

Conlin remains in custody until his next court appearance on September 14th, 2020.

Police are reminding parents about the importance of internet and cell phone safety, and to make sure their children are safely navigating the online world.

 After receiving a complaint from a concerned parent, an Red Deer RCMP investigation determined that a 30-year-old man had lured and committed sexual offences against a 15-year-old child.

The specialized Red Deer RCMP Sex Crime Unit executed a search warrant and arrested the suspect on July 31, 2020.

Brandon Conlin, 30, of Red Deer is charged with the following:

  • Sexual interference
  • Sexual assault
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Luring a child

Conlin remains in custody until his next court appearance on September 14, 2020.
