At 4:30 Thursday morning, April 4th, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for many parts of Alberta including Olds, Sundre, and areas to the south of our Province.

 

The warning is calling for snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 30 cm expected. 

Communities like Ponoka, Lacombe, Sylvan Lake and Red Deer are not under any warnings. Our forecast is calling for snow to begin Thursday night with about 2-4 cm. Periods of snow are expected to end on Friday.

Heavy snow in affected areas will taper off Friday morning.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
