Heavy snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected in parts of southern Alberta this weekend. Rain will gradually change over to snow this evening for areas near Calgary, and by midnight for communities closer to the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.

By the time the snow ends, 10 to 20 cm will have fallen, with the heaviest accumulations expected south of a line from Canmore to Okotoks to Bassano.

Snow will end Sunday night. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
