Just after 6:00 am Monday morning, Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for many parts of Central Alberta.

Our forecast is calling for significant rainfall, with  50 to 80 mm of rain by Wednesday morning.

Heavy rain will begin this evening and will persist until Wednesday.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
