July 9th new case numbers:

  • 37 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours
  • 584 active cases in Alberta
  • 46 people are hospitalized with COVID-19
  • 7 people have been admitted to ICU’s with COVID-19
  • 7,774total recovered cases
  • 3 new deaths in the last 24 hours
  • 161 total deaths from the virus
  • 507,169 tests have been performed in total 

Alberta.ca shows the following active cases in the Central Alberta area: 

  • In total, there are 11 active cases in the Central Zone
  • 2 active cases in the county of Red Deer
  • 3 active cases in the city of Red Deer 
  • 1 active case in the county of Ponoka
  • 1 active case in the county of Stettler 
  • 1 active case in the county of Mountain View
