On Oct 27, 2021 at approximately 7:16 p.m., the Innisfail RCMP were dispatched to a single tractor trailer roll over on the QEII Highway south of Innisfail.  The vehicle was heading south bound on QEII and flipped on its side blocking both south bound driving lanes.  The lone male driver was treated on scene for his injuries and released by responding EMS.  The Innisfail Fire Department and Red Deer County Emergency Fire Rescue Services attended the scene.

The southbound lanes of the QEII Highway were temporarily shut down while tow trucks removed the tractor trailer unit from the roadway.  Link Contracting from Innisfail attended the scene as well, in order to remove the heavy metal objects which had fallen off the trailer.

The Innisfail RCMP have charged the 35-year-old male driver from Winnipeg, Man. with operating motor vehicle transporting goods without securing goods properly under the Vehicle Equipment Regulations.
