Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

This is Marley!

My name is Marley! I earned the name because of my ‘dreadlocks’ but don’t be mistaken, my fur is clean and soft! I’m a mixture of poodle and bichon frise, I’m about 3 years old, and I come from an environment that wasn’t very kind to me. I come from what’s called a Puppy-Mill where they didn’t care about my quality of life. I’m very happy to be out of that situation and to be given a second chance at a new, caring life!

It’s important to know that I am a very shy girl when I meet someone new. Please don’t take that like I don’t want to get to know you, it’s just me being unsure of who you are! I want nothing more than to get to know you and become your best friend! I have a very soft temper and I won’t bite! Long story short, I start out shy and quiet but as I get to know you I’ll come out of my shell!

If you choose to adopt me we’ll be building a trusting relationship together. It will require patience, understanding, and time – but it will happen! I get along well with other dogs and I’ve never met a cat but I think we would get along too! Come to CARES and meet me! I think you and I have the potential to become best friends FUR-ever!
