Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

Fila

Meet Fila!

Hello, my name is Fila and I’m a 5 month old Bull Mastiff puppy! So, as you can probably tell, I’m going to get VERY big! The average female Bull Mastiff grows to about 200 pounds. But don’t let that discourage you from adopting me, I’m a super friendly girl! And we’re known for being a gentle breed in general. I was surrendered in mid-January by my owner who could no longer take care of me.

Since I’m going to be growing quite a bit it’s very important that I have space to run around and a house that’s spacious enough to keep me comfortable. A big yard is the best way for me to safely burn my energy and keep fit – but I would never say no to going on a walk or to the dog park! Please note though, that I am still just a young puppy and as a natural habit I enjoy to chew on stuff! So make sure I have toys to gnaw on so I don’t have to resort to your furniture.

I’m a very social dog who gets along well with other dogs, both big and small. When I first meet someone new I’m a little shy but that will quickly wear off once I realize I’m home with some nice people! Did I mention I’m a big fan of cuddling? I am not a beginner’s dog – past experience in pet owning will be a great asset to ensure both you and I are happy!

I’m spayed, microchipped, and all caught up on my vaccinations including rabies and kennel cough. I would love to meet you and become your new best friend! Come to CARES in north Lacombe - Click HERE for more information.
