The Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public in locating Sean Michael Greenwall (35) of Edmonton for whom there is an outstanding warrant of arrest in relation to several violent criminal offences which occurred in Wetaskiwin this month.

The first incident occurred on Monday, June 5, 2017, wherein members of the Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment were dispatched to a report of an aggravated assault involving a firearm.

The police investigation led to the arrest of Sean Greenwall who was charged with aggravated assault causing bodily harm and other offences.

An interim judicial release hearing was conducted and Greenwall was released from custody on a recognizance with several conditions, including not to have any contact with the victim.

On Wednesday, June 14 investigators from the Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment received a complaint from a woman who told police that she had been forcibly confined and sexually assaulted by Sean Greenwall over a period of time

commencing in January of this year. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Sean Greenwall who is facing 43 charges including the following:

- Unlawful confinement (5 counts) – Section 279(2) CC;
- Sexual Assault with a weapon – Section 272(2)(b) CC;
- Sexual Assault (2 counts) – Section 271 CC;
- Assault with a weapon (7 counts) – Section 267(a) CC;
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public (3 counts) – Section 88(1) CC

Police are investigating a third incident which is believed to have occurred on May 21, 2017, at a convenience store in Wetaskiwin wherein Greenwall was involved in an altercation with the same woman from the June 14 complaint mentioned above.

The altercation was witnessed by several people with whom investigators would like to speak and are asking that these individuals please contact the Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment.

Sean Michael Greenwall is described as follows:

- Caucasian male;
- 35-years-old;
- 193 cm (6’3”) tall;
- 122 kg (270 lbs) in weight;
- Tattoos on his left arm (“Warrior”) and left hand (a skull);
- Scar above his lip on his left cheek.

The public is advised not to approach Sean Greenwall should he be seen but are asked to call the police immediately.
