From Wetaskiwin RCMP: On March 28, 2018 the Wetaskiwin RCMP launched an investigation into allegations of female youth who may be involved in child exploitation.  Investigation revealed that there were three teenaged females who were identified as victims of sexual encounters.

A 47-year-old Wetaskiwin man has been arrested and charged with several sexual related offences, including:

  • ·Sexual Interference X4
  • ·Sexual Assault X4
  • ·Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration.
  • ·Luring a child.

The man will not be identified by the RCMP in an effort to protect the identity of any victims.  He has been released on court documents, with substantial conditions and is scheduled to appear in court.
