The Blackfald's FCSS Snow Angels program is looking for volunteers to help clear walkways this winter for those with limited mobility.

The program has relied on organizations in the past for help, but are changing it this year to encourage individuals to get involved and get to know their neighbours.

Volunteer Programmer, Kathleen Buckman explains what they're looking for "we would be excited to hear from anybody that would be interested in helping us out with this program, there is a bit of a screening process, we will be asking for criminal record checks and we want to make sure people are physically fit and able to do the snow clearing.  We've got some really awesome volunteers in our community and we would love to meet more of them".

Buckman adds the majority of people accessing the program are seniors and by offering Snow Angels, it helps keep seniors in their homes longer.
