Police said around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, somebody vandalized vehicles with black paint on 61 Avenue near 59 Street.

The markings were described as straight or squiggly lines, and it is believed that all marks were done during the same incident.

Police say the offence would be considered mischief although whether it would be over or under $5,000 is not yet known.

Don Bergsma from Prairie Boys Truck and Car Wash believes about 20 vehicles were affected in total. They have been helping victims clean off the paint.

"They were busy little buggers, I hope somebody caught them” he added.

He says as long as the paint doesn’t sit for too long, it can easily be cleaned with a citrus solvent or graffiti remover.

Quality Paint and Collision Repairs in Ponoka said they have also seen a few vehicles come through.
