From Rocky Mountain House RCMP:

On October 25, 2018, the Rocky Mountain House RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Caroline. 

As a result of the search, the following stolen property was recovered:  a vehicle from Calgary, an Alberta license plate,  stolen batteries from an oilfield company, a firearm, and copper wire. 

Three individuals were arrested at the residence, and are facing the following criminal charges:

Lindsay Battye, 34, Kyle Rowlinson, 33, and Jason Burns, 26, all of Caroline, have been charged with:

  • ·Possession of Property obtained by crime (over $5,000)
  • ·Possession of Property obtained by crime (under $5,000) (X 2)
  • ·Unlawful Possession of a Prohibited Firearm
  • ·Careless Storage of a Firearm (X 2)
  • ·Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

In addition to these charges, Kyle Rowlinson, has been charged with:

  • ·Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order (X 2)
  • ·Breach of Recognizance (X 3)

Battye and Burns were released by a Justice of the Peace on their own Recognizance, and will appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Rocky Mountain House on October 31, 2018.

Rowlinson was remanded into custody, and will appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Rocky Mountain House on October 31, 2018.

"This search is an example of a larger crime reduction strategy that focuses on conducting targeted, intelligence-led investigations” says Corporal Josh Matthies of the Rocky Mountain House RCMP.

“Property crimes are a priority for the Alberta RCMP, and there is a strategic focus on repeat crime offenders”.
