Rocky Mountain House RCMP – Police seize large amount of Drugs and Cash during CDSA Search Warrant

Rocky Mountain House, Alberta - On Friday, November 30th,2018, Rocky Mountain House RCMP members were involved in an investigation into drug trafficking at a local residence. Later that evening officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act at the residence.

Police searched the residence and located a large amount of cocaine, methamphetamine and Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, two adult males from Rocky Mountain House are facing several charges.

42-years-old Ryan MacGillivray, of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta is currently facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of Trafficking – S.5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of Trafficking – S.5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Psilocybin – S.4(1) CDSA
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.00 – S.355(A) CC

61-year-old David Callan, of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta is currently facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of Trafficking – S.5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of Trafficking – S.5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Psilocybin – S.4(1) CDSA
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.00 – S.355(A) CC

Both males have been released from custody to appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on December 12th, 2018.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP – Suspected Drug Dealer arrested with a loaded Handgun

Rocky Mountain House, Alberta - On Friday, December 1st, Rocky Mountain House RCMP members were patrolling a crime “hot spot” area. An officer located a suspicious vehicle and engaged in an investigation under the Traffic Safety Act. The driver was found to be a suspended driver and was arrested. A search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in police locating a loaded Sig Sauer handgun, cocaine, methamphetamine and a large amount of Canadian currency.

A 34-year-old male from Buck Lake, Alberta is in custody and currently facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of Trafficking – S.5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Methamphetamine – S.4(1) CDSA
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.00 – S.355(B) CC
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon – S.90(1) CC
  • Carless Storage of a firearm – S.86(2) CC
  • Possession of a restricted firearm where unauthorized – S.93(c) CC
  • Drive While unauthorized – S.94(2) TSA
