From Red Deer RCMP: Red Deer RCMP are investigating the theft of an ATM after a truck crashed through glass doors at Bower Mall early yesterday morning, knocking over an ATM near the door so that the two men in the truck could remove it.

RCMP responded to the report of a break-in at Bower Mall at 5:17 am on March 6; the investigation determined that a dark blue Ford truck had backed into the north doors of the mall and struck an ATM located near the doors. The collision knocked the ATM off its base and two masked, gloved male suspects then placed the ATM in the truck and fled.

Police determined that the truck fled north on Bremner Avenue and onto 47 Avenue, and subsequently recovered the truck where it had been abandoned in a parking lot in the area of 31 Street and 47 Avenue. The truck had been reported stolen out of Blackfalds earlier the same morning.
