On September 20, 2017 at approximately 8:18 a.m. Blackfalds RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 595 at Range Road 260.  

The male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision.  

Next of Kin have been notified and the identity of the deceased will not be released.  

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

Highway 595 was closed for some time today as the crash was being investigated.
