Santa is stepping away from his toy shop to visit with Blackfalds residents the next couple of days, all while helping the local Fire Department collect donations for the food bank.

As part of the annual Santa run, the fire department will be bringing him through different neighbourhoods, looking for donations of non-perishable food or cash.

Blackfalds Fire Chief Robert Cote says Santa has a busy schedule, but he looks forward to waving to families and sharing in the giving spirit.

“Santa graces us with his appearance with the help of Mrs. Clause, and two helpers in the back of the fire truck that has been decorated.”

Santa and his helpers will be on the west side of town tomorrow, December 20 and the East side of town on Friday, December 21.

You can follow Santa's progress to learn when he'll be making his way to your neighbourhood using the Santa Tracker available through the Town of Blackfalds or The Blackfalds Fire Department.
