From Red Deer RCMP – Red Deer RCMP made a number of arrests while conducting proactive patrols in downtown Red Deer, as well as other areas known for criminal activity, and located numerous suspects who were wanted on outstanding warrants. RCMP made more arrests thanks to reports from the public regarding suspicious activity, and thank Red Deerians for their continued support and vigilance.

29 year old Gregory Bruce Deering faces the following charges:Shortly after 4 pm on May 21, RCMP on patrol in a high crime area located a stolen vehicle with a male occupant and arrested him without incident.

  • ·Criminal Code 355(a) – Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions X 2
  • ·TSA 94(2) – Operate motor vehicle while unauthorized
  • ·TSA 52(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without registration
  • ·TSA 54(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without insurance

Deering was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 22 and is scheduled to appear again on May 25 at 9:30 am.

Thanks to a tip from the public, shortly after 5 pm on May 20, RCMP located a suspicious vehicle in a fast food restaurant parking lot in south Red Deer. The male suspect was found to be in possession of stolen identity documents.

Cody Douglas Holden was wanted on six warrants out of Red Deer for theft, possession of stolen property, breach of probation (X 3) and failing to appear in court. He now faces the following charge:

  • ·Criminal Code 56.1 – Possession of identity documents

Holden was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 22; he is scheduled to appear again on June 12 at 9:30 am.

The morning of May 20, RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at an auto parts business in which one of the business’s vehicles were stolen. As RCMP completed their initial investigation at the business they were called to a single vehicle rollover on Jordan Parkway and determined that it was the vehicle that had just been reported stolen. The male occupant was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries and later released into police custody.

37 year old Ryan Robert Latreille faces the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 733.1(1) – Fail to comply with probation X 2
  • ·TSA 94(2) – Operate motor vehicle while unauthorized
  • ·TSA 52(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without registration
  • ·TSA 54(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without insurance

Latreille was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 23 and is scheduled to appear again on May 30 at 9:30 am.

At 11:30 pm on May 19, RCMP on patrol in downtown Red Deer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a woman who was found to be in possession of what is believed to be crystal meth, cash and a number of items consistent with drug trafficking; at the time of her arrest, the suspect was violating a number of court-imposed conditions, including a curfew condition.

36 year old Miranda Lillian Reeves faces the following charges:

  • ·CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the purpose of trafficking (crystal meth)
  • ·Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of the proceeds of crime
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions X 3

Reeves was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 22 and was scheduled to appear again on May 24.

At 3:30 am, Red Deer RCMP on patrol in downtown Red Deer conducted a traffic stop and located methamphetamine and brass knuckles in the possession of the driver. The passenger was arrested for numerous outstanding warrants.

37 year old Kyle David Bailey faces the following charges:

  • ·CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • ·Criminal Code 91(2) – Possession of prohibited weapon
  • ·Criminal Code 117.01(1) – Fail to comply with weapons prohibition
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions

Bailey was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 22 and is scheduled to appear again on May 31 at 9:30 am.

 

31 year old Dustin Corey Malone was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Red Deer and Blackfalds for breaching his probation and traffic offences.

On May 18, Red Deer RCMP located and arrested a suspect who was wanted on a warrant after a police check at his residence on April 29 determined that the suspect was not complying with his court-imposed curfew condition.

33 year old Michael Wayne Campbell faces one charge of Criminal Code 145(3) – failing to comply with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on June 20 at 9:30 am.

At 10 pm on May 18, RCMP on patrol in downtown Red Deer conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle that fled police at high speeds. The motorcycle continued to drive through downtown at high speeds and was seen running red lights. RCMP did not pursue for public safety reasons but located the motorcycle again in north Red Deer and arrested the driver while he sat in another parked vehicle. The suspect was found to be violating his court-imposed curfew condition as well as several other conditions.

36 year old Shawn Thomas Metzger faces the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 249.1(1) – Flight from peace officer
  • ·Criminal Code 249(1)(a) – Dangerous operation of motor vehicle
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions X 3
  • ·TSA 51(a) – Operate motor vehicle without license
  • ·TSA 54(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without insurance
  • ·TSA 52(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without registration
  • ·TSA 53(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without license plate

Metzger is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on May 30 at 9:30 am.

At 9 pm on May 17, RCMP on foot patrol in downtown Red Deer located a suspect in possession of a stolen wallet and debit card and who was in violation of court-imposed conditions out of Nova Scotia.

A 30 year old man faces the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • ·Criminal Code 145(5.1) – Fail to comply with undertaking

He is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on June 12 at 9:30 am; his name cannot be released at this time as those charges have not yet been sworn before the courts.

Shortly before 6 pm, RCMP were called to a business in response to a report of a woman trying to cash a fraudulent cheque. RCMP attended and arrested the suspect as she attempted to drive away from police. She then gave police a false name but her identity was soon correctly determined. At the time of her arrest, she was in possession of a number of stolen documents including cheques. 

26 year old Katelin Savard (aka Katelin Cunningham) faces the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 129(a) – Resist/ obstruct peace officer X 2
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions
  • ·Criminal Code 733.1(1) – Fail to comply with probation
  • ·TSA 52(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without registration
  • ·TSA 54(1)(a) – Operate motor vehicle without insurance

Savard was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on May 22 and is scheduled to appear again on May 25 at 9:30 am.

At approximately 2 pm on May 17, RCMP attended a downtown business in response to a report of trespassing, after the business spotted a woman who had been issued a “no trespass” order regarding the store. RCMP attended and determined that the woman had stolen several packages of meat.

35 year old Amanda Nicole Hadiken faces the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 334(b) – Theft under $5,000
  • ·Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions
  • ·Criminal Code 145(5.1) – Fail to comply with undertaking

Hadiken is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on June 19 at 9:30 am.

Shortly after 4 am on May 17, RCMP responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Johnstone neighbourhood and located a suspect who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The suspect attempted to flee police but was quickly arrested. RCMP seized meth and marijuana during the arrest.

30 year old Cody Alan Feil faces the following charges:

  • ·CDSA 4(1) – Possession (of Schedule I and VIII substances) X 2
  • ·Criminal Code 129(a) – Resist/ obstruct peace officer

Feil is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on June 15 at 8:30 am.

On May 15, RCMP located a suspect who was wanted on warrants after failing to appear in court regarding an April 13 incident where he was found in stolen vehicle.

38 year old Robert Glen Moore was wanted on warrants for the following charges:

  • ·Criminal Code 355(a) – Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • ·Criminal Code 430(4) – Mischief under $5,000
  • ·Criminal Code 145(2)(a) – Fail to appear in court

Moore made his first appearance in court on May 18 and is scheduled to appear again in Red Deer on May 29 at 9:30 am.
