From Red Deer RCMP:

Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify a male suspect alleged to have stolen more than $2,500 worth of products from various stores over the past five weeks, and a female suspect who accompanied him in one of the incidents.

The male suspect is reported to have stolen $240 worth of products from a drug store on January 15 and then an additional $400 worth of products from the same store on February 14.

On February 18 the suspect was caught on camera again at another store, this time accompanied by a female suspect; on this occasion the pair are alleged to have stolen approximately $1,900 worth of product. Overall, the products stolen were grooming, personal care, perfume and cosmetic items.

RCMP wish to remind the public that if you’re being offered the opportunity to purchase brand name cosmetics at discounted rates from individuals rather than from a legitimate business, you are almost certainly dealing with stolen property; further, it is a crime to purchase an item if you believe it is stolen property.

Purchasing stolen property rewards criminal activity and contributes to increased property theft and related crimes including stolen vehicles, drugs, weapons and violent crimes.

If you recognize these suspects or have information about this investigation, please contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.

If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at www.tipsubmit.com. If your information leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.
