Suspended RCMP Constable Jason Tress made an appearance in Red Deer court today.

His case has been adjourned over to August 16th at 9:30 for election and plea.

Tress is charged with two counts of sexual assault, and two counts of breach of trust, involving three different women and three different instances.

According to court documents, two of the incidents occurred when Tress was on duty.

They allegedly happened back in March of 2012 in a hamlet north of Edmonton, and again on May 1st of 2016.

Suspended RCMP Constable Jason Tress who is charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of breach of trust involving three different women appeared briefly in a Red Deer courtroom this morning.

In March, Alberta Serious Incident Response Team announced the agency’s investigation into three incidents involving Tress had resulted in criminal charges.

Two of the incidents occurred when Tress was on duty.

According to court documents, the first of two incidents took place in a hamlet north of Edmonton in February or March of 2012.

The second incident took place on May 1, 2016, where Tress, allegedly asked a woman to expose her breasts.

Tress's next court appearance is scheduled for July 19 in Red Deer.
