Red Deer College has made an impression in North America claiming 9 awards for its excellence in marketing and communications initiatives.

They won five gold medallions for: Notebook, the college alumni magazine, their Summer Camps brochure, the Convocation program, the promotional Kings and Queens’s athletics video and the Decision campaign on their University journey announcement.

Communications Coordinator Jeff Maser says they are continuing to boost awareness about the school. He says getting this recognition comes at a time when big things are happening at the school.

“The government announcing that we could become a university and begin our journey towards offering our own degrees is exciting for Central Alberta and exciting for our marketing and public relations team and everybody who works at RDC to be a part of the momentum.”

The college also received three silver medallions, and a bronze was earned for the Bachelor of Applied Arts in Animation and Visual Effects recruitment video.

“This is recognition from our industry peers and that’s where were really excited because it was other colleagues across north America who judged these entries and really for us represents that were on the right track in terms of increasing awareness about RDC.”

The nine awards that RDC received were presented October 11 at the annual NCMPR District 7 conference, held this year in Boise, Idaho.
