Red Deer RCMP made a number of arrests over the weekend, including a 16 year old girl in a stolen vehicle in possession of a loaded sawed off shotgun, a drug arrest and numerous property crime-related offences.

Many of those arrested were breaching court-imposed conditions, and several were wanted on outstanding warrants at the time of their arrest.

March 25

Shortly after 3 pm on March 25, RCMP received a complaint of suspected drug activity in a parking lot in north Red Deer and located a man in possession of hydromorphone.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect was breaching a number of court-imposed conditions and was wanted on outstanding warrants out of Edmonton.

36 year old Timothy John Kehoe faces the following charges for the March 25 arrest:

· CDSA 4(1) – Possession of Schedule 1 substance (hydromorphone)
· Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions X 3

Kehoe was remanded and appeared in court in Red Deer on March 27; his next appearance will be March 30 at 9:30 am. His outstanding warrants out of Edmonton will be dealt with separately by Edmonton Police Service.

March 25

On March 25, Red Deer RCMP located and arrested a woman after she was alleged to have used stolen identification to falsify vehicle purchase papers and register the vehicle.

40 year old Brandy Christine Carl faces the following charges:
· Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions X 2
· Criminal Code 368(1)(a) – Knowing use of forged document X 3
· Criminal Code 733.1(1) – Fail to comply with probation

Carl was remanded and appeared in court in Red Deer on March 27.


March 26

While attending the report of a recovered stolen Jeep the afternoon of March 26, RCMP located the two male suspects nearby in possession of stolen property belonging to the vehicle owner, including her credit card, which had been left in the Jeep when it was stolen.

The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Edmonton.

21 year old Grayson Charles Eashappie faces the following charges:
· Criminal Code 355(a) – Possession of stolen property over $5,000
· Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of stolen property under $5,000 X 2
· Criminal Code 342(1)(c) – Possession of stolen credit card

Eashappie was remanded and appeared in court in Red Deer on March 27.

He has been released on bail and will appear in court in Red Deer again on April 21.

23 year old Trent Tyler Roan faces the following charges:
· Criminal Code 355(a) – Possession of stolen property over $5,000
· Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of stolen property under $5,000 X 2
· Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to comply with conditions (possession of knife)

Roan was remanded and appeared in court in Red Deer on March 27. He will appear in court in Red Deer again on March 31.


March 27

Shortly after 1:30 am March 27, Red Deer RCMP arrested a female youth after a stolen SUV fled from police; police did not pursue due to public safety concerns but located the girl soon afterward.

At the time of her arrest, the 16 year old girl was in possession of a loaded sawed off shotgun.

The SUV was reported stolen out of Red Deer on March 26.

The 16 year old girl, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces the following charges:

· Criminal Code 88(1) – Possession of dangerous weapon
· Criminal Code 91(1) – Unauthorized possession of firearm
· Criminal Code 92(1) – Possession of firearm knowing such possession is unauthorized
· Criminal Code 94(1) – Occupy motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm in it
· Criminal Code 95 – Possess loaded prohibited firearm
· Criminal Code 129(a) – Resist peace officer
· Criminal Code 355(a) – Possess stolen property over $5,000
· Criminal Code 430(4) – Mischief under $5,000

The youth made her first appearance in court in Red Deer on March 27 and will appear in court in Red Deer again on March 30.
