On August 29, 2017, Rocky Mountain House RCMP stopped a local 21 year old man for driving while suspended and speeding on Highway 22 en route to Rocky Mountain House.  

During the traffic stop, the male was arrested.  

Subsequent to the arrest, police seized a large quantity of cocaine valued at over $12,000, a substantial amount of cash and a prohibited weapon.   

The accused has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of marihuana, possession of a prohibited weapon and driving while unauthorized and will appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on September 20, 2017 to speak to the charges.
