As you may know, Central Alberta Pride Week is going on right now, and the Michener House Museum decided to add some color of their own.

Around 30 volunteers showed up this morning at the Michener House Museum to help paint their picnic tables in pride flag colours.

Organizer and Michener House employee Becca Stone says they wanted to liven up their plain white picnic tables, and Pride week gave them the perfect reason.

“Our picnic tables were very white, blindingly white, so we wanted to do something toi spruce them up a bit. And it just so happens that Central Alberta Pride Week was happening, and six colours in the pride flag, and we have six picnic tables, so it worked out nicely. Each table is going to be a different colour of the pride flag, so when we line them all up on the lawn, we will have a nice big pride flag.”

You can also check out LGBTQA yoga down at Lacombe Yoga tonight at 6pm.

It's open to everyone with admission price being a donation, which will go to the Central Alberta Price Society.
