Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify two men after a driver was threatened with a firearm in a road rage incident on December 7.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 pm on December 7 as the victim drove eastbound on 39 Street in the area of 52 Avenue.

A truck attempted to cut the victim off, and then followed him and pulled up next to him when the victim pulled over on 52 Avenue.

The driver pointed a handgun at the victim and threatened him before driving away.

As the suspect truck drove away, the passenger side scraped against the victim’s car.

The driver is described as:
· bald
· heavy-set build
· in his 40s
· speaking in a deep voice
· wearing dark clothing
· carrying a chrome-coloured handgun

The passenger is described as:
· Caucasian
· short hair
· in his 20s
· wearing a black hoodie and a black balaclava with green or blue markings on the front

There may have been a third man in the back seat; no description was obtained.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 1998 – 2000 red Dodge Ram with chrome accents and possible fresh damage to the front bumper and door on the passenger side.
