As part of Canada 150 celebrations, Senator Doug Black recognized 219 outstanding Albertans who make important volunteer contributions to their communities.
 
The Senator’s Contribution Award is presented to nominated individuals in each of Alberta’s cities, towns and villages that participated in the nomination process.  
 
A number of central Albertans are being recognized with the award including:
