There was no math, history or science today for students at Lacombe Upper Elementary School.

As part of the school's 15th annual Health and Wellness Fair, students participated in various sessions learning things like healthy eating, ways to improve mental health, heart health, leadership and even CPR.

One of the activities student's participated in was yoga. Kid's Yoga teacher Kim Mclean explained the benefits the practice can have on a child's health.

“Yoga gives kids another tool to learn how to self-regulate so that they can calm down and feel more relaxed, so when they are faced with things like anger, stress and tension they have another tool to use.”

In total there were 21 different sessions for the students to participate in, including the importance of a proper nights rest and they even learned some cool new dance moves.
