The Lacombe Health Trust is thrilled with the support they were shown at last night's Lacombe Kinsmen Charity Auction.

There was plenty of local business support and lots of traffic at the 33rd annual event at the Lacombe Golf and Country Club.

Health Trust Board Member Corey Gish says the money raised will be a nice boost for helping to fund new projects, new equipment and ongoing education at the Lacombe Hospital.

"The Lacombe Health Trust is so appreciative of the local community support and we have huge expectations to turn this back into the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre in a way that our community will appreciate and be able to use for years to come"

Gish says they'll soon be announcing an exciting new project, and planning is well underway for their annual golf tournament in June.

Kinsmen Auction Chair Tye Friesen says once again Lacombe turned out to support their efforts in the community.

"I think it was a great success, I think we had a lot of new businesses come in, repeating businesses kept their donations up and kept supporting the Kinsmen cause, so a great cause as always, we always pick something new to support and a lot of great items donated by our great businesses here in Lacombe".
