Lacombe City Council heard a final report Tuesday night on citizen feedback following the Coffee with Council event held at the Spring Trade Show.

Public response was comparable to other Coffee with Council sessions, and CAO Dion Pollard says a variety of issues and ideas were brought forward.

“Good comment on some of the operations, snow removal, and upkeep of the town in general. Some of the things to work on - traffic safety seemed to be a hot item, unsightly properties was another one”.

The issue of a garage sale bylaw was included as part of the concerns raised about an unsightly property in the City that seems to be operating an ongoing garage sale.

Facility upgrades and accessibility issues at City facilities was another area City Administration is further exploring following the public comments according to Pollard.

“Overall good feedback and most of its achievable or worth looking at and Administration will look at the options we have and see what we can do moving forward”.

Some residents were asking for the elevator at the arena to be more user-friendly as well as the ease of wheelchair access to the second floor with requests for push button options for the doors throughout the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex.
