Canadian entertainment will highlight this year’s Westerner Days festivities.

Their music lineup includes Juno Country Album of the Year winner Jess Moskaluke and Canadian favourite Tom Cochrane.

CEO and General Manager of Westerner Park Ben Antifaiff said it’s something they focused on.

“We’ve really worked hard to come up with strong Canadian talent and we’re really excited about the variety and breath of talent this year.”

“That should certainly entertain Central Alberta.”

There will also be an increase in agricultural events including an introduction to an urban farm, where you’ll be able to learn more about farming in or around a city or town.

Anitfaiff said it was an area in where they wanted to step up their game.

“Agriculture has been a strong part of the Heritage of Westerner Park and it’s brought us 125 years of celebration.”

“We’re tying to re-introduce a bit more of “AG” programming, preserve that heritage and enjoy having more “AG” related events.”

2017 Westerner Days Fair and Exposition runs from July 19-23.
