On September 11th, 2017 at 6:00 pm Wetaskiwin RCMP received a report of a hit and run collision that occurred that morning on the Wetaskiwin Automile.  

At approximately 8:45 am yesterday morning, a bright blue smaller sized car similar to a Ford Focus or Kia allegedly approached the intersection of 47 avenue at 56 street facing west on 47 avenue and turned north onto 56 street causing the victim on a bicycle heading southbound via the sidewalk/crosswalk to land on the hood of the suspect car.  

The victim advised that he had the greenlight and driver had a red light.  

There were apparently several witnesses to the event.  

The victim sustained minor injuries.  

The vehicle left the scene northbound.  

The driver was described as male, approximately 25 years old with dirty blonde hair and large neck.
