Thanks to multiple tips from the public, Red Deer RCMP have identified and charged a woman alleged to have made a number of fraudulent transactions with a stolen credit card at several businesses over the course of a month this summer.   

RCMP located the suspect on August 21 and took her into custody without incident. At the time of her arrest, she was wanted on a number of outstanding warrants and was in possession of a stolen passport. 

In addition to those warrants, 32 year old Melissa Caylene White now faces the following charges:

•         Criminal Code 355(b) – Possession of stolen property under $5,000

•         Criminal Code 380(1)(b) – Fraud X 5 

White was remanded to appear in court in Red Deer on August 23.

She makes her next appearance on August 25 at 9:30 am.

Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify a woman who has made a number of fraudulent transactions with a stolen credit card.   

The suspect is reported to have made repeated transactions with the stolen credit card in at least one business over the past few months.

RCMP obtained a surveillance image of the suspect and are sharing it with the public in hopes someone will recognize her.
