At approximately 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 13, 2017, Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Range Road 65 southeast of Rocky Mountain House. 
 
RCMP members, Fire Department and EMS personnel immediately responded to the scene of the collision and located a Ford Explorer that had rolled several times after it had lost control traveling southbound on Range Road 65.  
 
The 57 year old female driver, a local resident of the area, had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash.  STARS responded to the location of the accident but the driver had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.  
 
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.  The driver was not believed to be wearing a seat belt.  Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision. 
 
The name of the deceased will not be released and her family has been notified.  Rocky and District Victim Services have been assisting the family.  The RCMP would like to express their condolences to the family during this difficult time.
