The ECHO Lacombe Association has kicked in some funding in support of Neighbourhood Life's 'coffee bike'.

You may have had an opportunity to see the bike in action as part of Block Party month.

It's available free of charge for those looking to host block parties, and for select community events, with all coffee supplies donated by Good Neighbour Coffee.

ECHO Lacombe Association Vice-President Jana Fafard says the Association is proud to announce $4,400 in support of the project.

“This project demonstrates our commitment to building our community. The coffee bike is a fine example of a creative idea that will serve to connect Lacombe neighbourhoods”.

Rick Abma of Neighbourhood Life is excited by the opportunity to collaborate with ECHO Lacombe.

“Their support will allow our initiative to continue to grow; sometimes all you need is a cup of coffee to strike up a conversation”.

The ECHO Lacombe Association includes representatives from the City of Lacombe, Burman University, and the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce, as well as an additional 5 members of the community at large.
