Hoping to add more representation for central Albertans to the provincial legislature, Dr. Paul Hardy will be running for nomination in the Red Deer-North seat for the Alberta Party, after being acclaimed earlier in the week.

As one of the founding members of the Society for Fair and Transparent Health Funding to Central Alberta, Dr. Hardy has been working hard to improve the health of central Albertans, and he hopes he can take that passion and drive further.

“I think my strength are communication, leadership, I am results orientated and I’ve made a lot of changes to health care in central Alberta…so I think those skills will be helpful, but the issues that I feel are very important would include education, crime, homelessness, and many others.”

Dr. Hardy says he strongly agrees with the six main principles of the Alberta Party, which are prosperity, fiscal and social responsibility, sustainability, democracy, and quality of life.

“I think that central Alberta has not felt a strong political presence in government over the past couple of decades and if logic and transparency rule and decisions aren’t made based on political agenda I think that we can do well.”

You can meet Dr. Hardy Tuesday, October 16th during a public meeting at the Ranch House in Red Deer, from 7 pm until 9 pm.

Alberta Party leader Stephen Mandel is also expected to be there.
