A man and woman from Didsbury spent a long night in a rolled vehicle Sunday.

Cochrane RCMP were called out yesterday mid morning to the single vehicle crash on a gravel road near the Fallen Creek South Recreation Area.

The vehicle had left the road about 9 pm Sunday and rolled down a steep embankment.

The 42 year old woman driving had a broken collarbone while the 41 year old male passenger suffered injuries to his legs.

Due to their injuries, lack of cell service and lack of information on how far they were from the road, the pair stayed in place overnight.

The Cochrane Fire Department conducted a high angle rope rescue yesterday, with the man airlifted by STARS and the woman taken by ground ambulance to hospital.
