A crime watch meeting is being held in Mirror on Monday.

Members of law enforcement speak at a rural crime watch meeting in Alix earlier this year. There will be one held in Mirror on Monday night.

Lacombe County councillor Brenda Knight hopes residents will attend and get informed about what law enforcement is doing, preventative tips, and a mental health initiative for the Bashaw area.

“I hope they will understand that rural crime is a bit unique compared to city crime and some things they could possibly do to help themselves become less targeted, learn how to become the eyes and ears of the RCMP, learn what to report to the RCMP,” Knight said.

“The individual can play a huge role by watching and reporting.”

The meeting takes place 7 p.m. at the Mirror Community Hall.
