After less than 6 months on the job, Lacombe's Chief Administrative Officer is moving on.

Dion Pollard announced today, he's leaving for an opportunity to move back to the community he grew up in, having accepted a position as City Manager in Lloydminster.

Pollard says his reasons for leaving are in no way a reflection of the City or Council.

"I have had nothing but positive experiences during my time here, and I leave impressed with the great working relationship that exists between staff and Council.  My decision is based on being closer to family and an opportunity to work in the community I grew up in".

During his short time in Lacombe, he proved to be a good team leader, and provided sound leadership and guidance, and while City Council is sad to see him go, Mayor Christie says they are wishing him all the best.

Pollard will wrap up his time in Lacombe by fulfilling his role as Returning Officer for the Municipal Election.

The City will announce their plans for CAO recruitment shortly.
