On Aug. 29, 2021 at 6:30 p.m., Olds RCMP, Airdrie and Innisfail Integrated Traffic Unit (RCMP and Alberta Sheriffs), Emergency Services and the Olds Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 2, south of Highway 27 in Olds, Alta.

Upon arrival, members located a heavily damaged vehicle in the median. The vehicle occupants, a 48-year-old male, and a 7-year-old child, were taken to hospital by ambulance, where it was determined that they had suffered minor injuries.

The RCMP collision analyst attend to assist in the investigation. Alcohol may have been a factor and charges are pending.

The RCMP and the Alberta Sheriffs would like to thank the members of the public, who stopped and assisted with this collision.

The RCMP and Alberta Sheriffs want to remind people there is no reason to be driving if you have consumed alcohol or drugs.
