The suspect involved in the October 16th a shooting in Bluffton at the City General Store has now been located and arrested.

After being identified by Edmonton Police Service on October 19th, charges were sworn against Brian Daniel Spence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  He was also wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Killam Detachment at the time of his arrest.

At 10:15AM on October 20th Wetaskiwin/Camrose RCMP were notified that Spence was in a stolen vehicle near Ohaton, Alberta. The truck was stolen from Vegreville on October 19th. The vehicle broke down and Spence fled by foot.

Multiple RCMP resources were deployed in search of Spence including police dogs and an RCMP helicopter. Spence was eventually found hiding in an outbuilding on a farm property.

Relating to the armed robbery, Spence is facing six criminal charges incluyding aggravated assault and robbery.

The female passenger associated to the robbery in Bluffton is still being investigated. It is a possibility that she may have been threatened into participation.
